The Auckland Grammar School Haka was written in the early 2000’s by some of the elders of Ngāti Whātua.
For just the second time in the School’s history, the entire student body performed the Haka prior to the start of the Grammar vs King’s College 1st XV Rugby fixture on Saturday 18 May 2019 during the School’s 150th celebrations.
Several members of the School’s Kapa Haka group, led by Ngawari Pio ’15, performed the Haka in the Sports Centre, showing the actions and the corresponding words. Watch the video below to view.
