Winter Tournament Week for 2022 will be held from Monday 29 August - Friday 2 September and the School will be closed on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 September.

The 1st XI Hockey team will compete at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Hockey Championships in Auckland during Winter Tournament Week from Monday 29 August - Saturday 3 September.
During daily assembly in Term 3, there will be weekly performances from a number of the School’s Musical groups. On Monday 29 August, the School’s Pipe Band will perform to the student body.
The Premier Basketball team will compete in the National Qualifying Tournament in the AA Zone 1 Championships during Winter Tournament Week from Wednesday 31 August - Saturday 3 September in Auckland.
The School will be closed on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 September as part of Winter Tournament Week (the mid-term break).
The New Zealand Secondary Schools Weightlifting Championships will take place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 September in Porirua.
The Northern Tour is contested as part of Winter Tournament week and in 2022 will be held in Auckland on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 September. A group of Form 6 students will take in a week-long Leadership Camp at the School's outdoor education facility, Venturelodge, in Ohakune from Monday 5 - Friday 9 September.
Form 5 students taking Careers Studies as a subject will take a half-day field trip to Unitec as part of a Construction Trades visit on Wednesday 7 September.
A select group of Form 3 and Form 7 students, along with Form 3 Dean Mr Matt Cuming and Form 3 Associate Dean Mr Kerry Wait, will visit Kowhai Intermediate School on Tuesday 6 September.
Members of the Big Band and Grammar Virtuosi will visit King's School for Performance Day II on Wednesday 7 September. Students will leave campus at 8am and be back in time for period 3, beginning at 11:05am.
The finalists for the Junior Music Plate and Minister's Plate will compete for the 2022 title on Wednesday 7 September in the Heritage Room of the School Library.
Maori and Pasifika Engineering students from the University of Auckland will speak to Technology students during a visit on Thursday 8 September.

Form 6 students taking Business Studies as a subject will complete their Market Day internal assessment during lunchtime on Friday 9 September.
A group of international students will take a half-day trip to Long Bay Regional Park from 10am-2pm on Saturday 10 September.
Race 5 - the final race - of the Auckland Secondary Schools Cross Country Mountain Biking Championships will take place on Sunday 11 September at Waitawa Regional Park.
The School's Rowing squad will take part in a training camp ahead of the 2023 season at Bethells Beach on Sunday 11 September.
Form 7 students taking Careers Studies as a subject will take a half-day trip to MIT in Manukau on Monday 12 September to learn more about a diploma in Engineering or Trades.
Representatives from various New Zealand universities will be on site during August and September to assist students with course planning for studying in 2023. On Monday 12 September, representatives from AUT will be in the Old Boys' Pavilion at lunchtime.

Cultural and Music groups will have their official photo take on the front steps of the Main Block on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 September from 3:15pm-5pm.
The New Zealand Economics Competition will take place for Form 6 and 7 students on Thursday 15 September during periods 3 and 4.

The 71st annual Auckland Inter-Secondary Schools Fleet Yachting Regatta will take place on Friday 16 September at the Wakatere Boating Club.
UPDATE: Due to a lack of snow causing a Health and Safety issue, the North Island Secondary Schools Skiing Championships have been cancelled for 2022. The Skiing team will compete at the North Island Secondary Schools Skiing Championships at Turoa and Whakapapa ski fields from Saturday 17 - Tuesday 20 September.
Form 6 and 7 students will sit their Term 3 examinations between Friday 16 - Friday 23 September. Each examination will be three hours.
Form 5 students taking French as a subject will take a field trip to Maison Vauron in Newmarket for a gastronomy lesson on Tuesday 20 September.
The School will be closed on Monday 26 September for the Queen's Memorial Service.
Form 6 and 7 students taking Music as a subject will complete their Performance Assessments during Week 10 from Tuesday 27 - Thursday 29 September.
Junior students students (Form 3 and 4) will sit their assessment week during the last week of Term 3 (Tuesday 27 - Friday 30 September). Each assessment will take place during one scheduled period during the week.
The Interact Group will hold a Foodbank Collection during the last week of Term 3 (Tuesday 27 - Friday 30 September), to collect canned items and raise funds for the Auckland City Mission. Students and staff can drop their items at the front of the stage in the Great Hall anytime during the week.
The Pipe Band will play prior to the University of Auckland Graduation Ceremonies on Wednesday 28 September at Spark Arena.
The annual Staff vs Prefects Rugby fixture will take place at lunchtime on Wednesday 28 September on the No. 1 field.
The Staff vs Prefects Basketball and Football fixtures will take place at lunchtime on Thursday 29 September in the Sports Centre and Artificial Turf respectively.
There will be a car safety briefing for the Students Against Dangerous Driving group at lunchtime on Thursday 29 September outside Gate 3.
The New Zealand Secondary Schools Chess Championships will take place in Christchurch from Friday 30 September - Sunday 2 October.
The Colts Cricket team will complete a three-day pre-season tour in Christchurch at the end of Term 3 from Friday 30 September - Sunday 2 October.
