Students in Form 6 or 7 wishing to make option changes prior to the start of the 2025 academic year must come to the Deans' Suite during the day on either Wednesday 15 January between 10am-3pm or Thursday 16 January between 12pm-3pm to organise.
New students to Auckland Grammar School will have their Orientation Day on Friday 17 January. New Form 3 students who already attended the Orientation Day in December 2024 are not required to attend.
Term 1 for 2025 begins for all students on Tuesday 21 January at 9am.
The School will be closed on Monday 27 January for Auckland Anniversary Day.
The annual Swimming Sports Day will be held on Tuesday 4 February in the School pool by the lower fields. Events will start from period 3 (11:05am) and run through until the end of the School day.
There will be an information for new Form 3 parents in the Great Hall on Wednesday 5 February from 7pm. This will be an opportunity to meet the Form 3 Dean, form masters and senior members of staff who will interact with students on a regular basis.

Auckland Grammar School will take part in the traditional exchange with Christchurch Boys' High School from Sunday 23 - Tuesday 25 February. In 2025, Auckland Grammar School will travel to Christchurch for the exchange. Teams involved with the exchange are the 1st XI Cricket, Premier Tennis and Premier Water Polo teams.
