Library Assistant
Auckland Grammar School is seeking a Library Assistant to join our Library Team. This is a part-time permanent position (10 hours a week during the term) to commence in May 2025.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide administrative support to ensure that resources are managed effectively
- Support the staff in the development of information literacy for all students and to support the advancement of student literacy by keeping up to date with the latest trends in Young Adult literature
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all those who use the library
- Support the School in the provision of a healthy and safe environment for students and staff
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

Property Assistant
Auckland Grammar School is seeking a Property Assistant to join our Property Team.
The Property Assistant’s position focuses primarily on property performance and compliance. This includes accepting responsibility for facility hire to external users and achieving the associated budget revenue.
This role also has key administrative roles including the monitoring of capital and operational expenditure, and is the first point of contact for staff, property related requests and contractors visiting the campus.
The position is a fixed term full-time position for 12 months, to commence in May 2025.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Liaising with key contractors/suppliers to complete orders/raise jobs that require a technician
- Health and Safety
- Compliance Management
- Coordinate contractors and track budgets
- Promote the School’s facilities and generate hire/letting interest from external potential users., including administration of venue bookings, carparking hire agreements and monthly invoicing
- Professional and timely communication when interacting with staff, stakeholders/hirers (internal and external)
- Be familiar with the Property team’s KPIs and work with the rest of the property team to ensure these are met
- Promote nominated School hire venues effectively and professionally ensuring the Grammar brand is retained and well presented
- Represent Auckland Grammar School professionally at School related events that require a commitment from the Property team
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Excellent communication and office administrative skills
- Proficient Computer literacy, including all Microsoft suite products, Outlook and Xero
- Knowledge and/or experience of Building Management Systems, security systems and CCTV
- Attention to detail
- Strong personal organisation and time management skills
- Approachable with an ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to build positive and constructive relationships, based on trust, understanding the needs of peers and delivering on the position’s responsibilities and duties
- A commitment to work as a team to deliver the highest possible standard of services
- Able to be contactable in some cases outside working hours
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and Property Compliance
