Pipe Band

The Pipe Band has been an institution at Auckland Grammar School for over 20 years. Resplendent in their Clanranald McDonald tartan kilts, they lead the University of Auckland graduation parades each year and perform at a variety of school and community events. Students can learn bagpipes or drums.

Pipe Band Drumming

Lessons are available for the drum section of the Pipe Band. Snare, tenor and bass drum players are given lessons to learn the specialist techniques necessary for the Corps of Drums.
