Auckland Grammar School will be hosting the major School production for 2025: Anything Goes. Please find below further details and information about audition dates and resources.

Registrations

If you have not already completed the registration  form, please click here.

Audition dates – note: all rehearsals will take place in the Centennial Theatre

  • Thursday 28 November from 3:30pm-5:30pm – introduction and audition tips, plus the group singing call
  • Friday 29 November from 3.30pm-9pm – group singing and dance call
  • Saturday 30 November from 11am-5:30pm – lead role script reads and singing call. Note: Specific call times will be advised at the end of the Friday session. Please be prepared to come for the full time on Saturday, as you may be called for more than one lead role
  • Sunday 1 December from 11am-5.30pm – call backs. Note: Specific call times will be advised at the end of the Saturday session. Please be prepared to come for the full time on Sunday, as you may be called back for more than one lead role
  • Monday 2 December from 3:30pm-8.30pm – full cast meet and greet. Note: call time has been extended to 8.30pm. Please ensure you bring food with you.

ALL auditionees need to download the sheet music and learn the two ensemble song extracts we will be using at the group singing and dance call on the Thursday/Friday audition days. Click on the links below to download:

Note: You are welcome to learn the melody line only for both sections or if you read music and prefer to, you can learn the specific part for your vocal range (Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass). Both songs need to be learned from memory before attending the audition as choreography will be added.

What to bring to your audition

  • Everyone should wear athletic clothing and please bring any dance shoes (jazz shoes and tap shoes) you have
  • Females should wear comfortable and supportive heels to do part of the dance call in 
  • Everyone should bring a water bottle. There will be a half hour meal break on Friday so you will need to bring some food with you for dinner, as there will not be time to go offsite
