Annual KBB Music Festival

During Week 3 (Monday 8 – Friday 12 August), students from six of the School’s Music groups competed at the annual KBB Music Festival, held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral and St Mary’s Cathedral.

The groups all performed superbly, receiving the following results:

• The Premier Concert Band received a Silver award
• The Symphony Orchestra received a Silver award, as well as the award for Best Performance of a Classical Work
• Grammar Virtuosi received a Silver award, as well as the award for Best Performance of a New Zealand Work by a Chamber Orchestra
• The Big Band received a Gold award

Congratulations to all students as to Music teachers Mr Wasson, Mr Hare and Head of Music Ms Hahm for their ongoing guidance and support.
