Annual Hamilton Boys’ High School exchange

On Wednesday 31 May, 17 sports teams represented the School in the annual traditional exchange with Hamilton Boys’ High School. With Hamilton Boys’ travelling up to Auckland for the day, the level of play and sportsmanship seen throughout the grounds was exemplary.

Below is a list of the final results from the exchange.

• Badminton: the Junior Premier team lost 5-1, while the Senior Premier team won 6-1
• Basketball: both the Junior and Senior Premier teams won their games (63-47 and 63-62 respectively)
• Chess: both the Junior and Senior teams lost to Hamilton (9-7 apiece)
• Debating: the Junior team won their debate, while the Senior team lost
• Football: both the 1st XI and 14A1 teams had draws with Hamilton (0-0 and 2-2 respectively)
• Golf: the Premier Golf team won their match (4.5 to 3.5)
• Hockey: both the 1st XI and Under 15 Hockey teams lost to Hamilton (2-1 and 4-0 respectively)
• Rugby: the 1st and 2nd XV teams lost (48-0 and 38-8 respectively), while the Under 15 team came away with a 32-17 win
• Squash: the Premier team won 4-2
