Sports Fields

Auckland Grammar School proudly maintains six grass fields. The top level fields are designated to the 1st XV Rugby and Colts Cricket teams, while the lower fields are home to our 1st XI Cricket and Football teams.

There are three full-sized Rugby fields, and three Football fields (two full-sized and one slightly smaller field), all of which are overlooked by the Lower Pavilion.

The all-weather Hockey Turf, located on the corner of Clive and Normanby Roads, is used for both practice and games by all our Hockey teams. This facility is used extensively by outside groups during the summer and winter seasons.

Accessed via Normanby Road, the all-purpose Lower Artificial Turf hosts Rugby and Lacrosse in the winter. Throughout the summer, Touch Rugby and Football are typically played on this field.

There are also two Cricket wickets – our 1st XI cricket wicket is down by our Lower Pavilion and the second wicket is on the top fields.
