Rachel Fenton – Director of International
Rachel is responsible for the development and execution of the international marketing strategy and plan to meet the internationalisation objectives of Auckland Grammar School.
She oversees daily operations and manages the International Department, including ensuring best practice and compliance to the Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice.
Rachel spends time travelling to key recruitment markets and working alongside agents and partners to diversify the international student enrolment at Auckland Grammar School.
She has an extensive background in international education and marketing at the university level, has travelled to over 35 countries, and lived in Japan and England.
Rachel is the founder of the Auckland Schools Marketing Group, Schools Symposium, and is a member of the ATEED – Auckland Futures Group of Study.

Paul Easingwood – Dean of International Students
Paul graduated with a degree in Politics from the University of Hull, achieving his Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Leicester in 2008.
Paul is responsible for monitoring the academic performance of international students and providing them support that will enable them to learn effectively in a safe environment.
Paul has a strong understanding of the challenges faced by international students having recently moved to Auckland from England, and from his work in inner-city London schools.
Paul is the Head of Geography, and is also involved with Cricket, Debating and Rugby.

Sandra Boroughs (née Heslin) – International Student Welfare Manager
Having worked at Auckland Grammar School for the past two decades, Sandra has a 24/7 role managing and monitoring the welfare and pastoral care of approximately 90 International students which includes individual term interviews.
Her role also comprises sourcing and auditing their homestay carers and most importantly listening to our students and acting appropriately on their needs.
Originally from Scotland, Sandra has lived in New Zealand for 45 years and has been a trainer, marketer and counsellor.
Sandra manages the Breakfast Club for Pasifika students, and enjoys walking, reading, travel, writing poetry, cooking, entertaining, movies and fundraising in her spare-time.

Suzanne Sasagawa (nee Zhang)
Suzanne speaks English, Mandarin and Hokkien, and is originally from Xiamen, China.
She completed four years of secondary school in the South Island and obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Massey University as an international student.
Suzanne has worked as an administration support staff in the education sector for over 12 years, and enjoys music and travelling.

Leerang (Lee) Lim – International Relationship Manager
As the International Relationship Manager, Lee is responsible for marketing, recruitment and supporting the integration and success of international students at Auckland Grammar School.
She has studied Chinese and Japanese at the University of Auckland and achieved her Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Management from Unitec in 2020.
She was an international student at Takapuna Grammar School, so she a deep understanding of the challenges of the students.
Lee has a background in ESOL teaching at primary and intermediate level in South Korea, marketing in Vietnam and international admission at the tertiary level in New Zealand.
In her free time, Lee enjoys reading, playing with her two children, and travelling.

Chunchun (Cathy) Wang – International Student Liaison
As the International Student Liaison, Cathy is dedicated to monitoring and supporting international students living with designated caregivers and parents. She acts as the primary point of contact for international parents residing in Auckland.
Originally from China, Cathy is fluent in both Mandarin and English. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Teaching in Auckland in 2017 and has since spent six years deeply engaged in the early childhood education sector.
Outside of work, Cathy enjoys dancing, snowboarding, and watching movies.
