Report: Delfina Water Polo Tournament

Over Auckland Anniversary Weekend, the Premier Water Polo competed in the Delfina Tournament, a pre-season competition with 11 other schools from around the region, hosted by Sacred Heart College.

Day one saw the team starting their competition well with wins against King’s College (10-5) and Rangitoto College (9-5). The team then met Sacred Heart College and Rosmini College on day two with two further wins (9-3 and 8-5 respectively), qualifying for the final against Tauranga Boys College.

The team played some superb Water Polo, recording a narrow 8-5 loss to finish in second place overall. This was a fantastic start to their season and puts the team in good stead ahead of their first match of the Auckland competition in two weeks.
